Safety strap close up view

Close up view of the inside of the Wetwang chariot showing the "safety strap" made of rawhide. Testing showed the rider would need something to hang onto other than the arch supports and the "safety strap" seemed the logical conclusion. This picture also shows a close up of the toggles in the "Y" supports.
